WPP-12F4B1A100 Fiberglass Graphite-Impregnated Wiping Pad for Hot-Dip Galvanizi
SUNMAX Wiping pads WPP-12F4B1A100 Fiberglass Graphite-Impregnated Wiping Pad for Hot-Dip Galvanizing Lines is a braided wiping block developed for hot-dip galvanized wire production lines. It is manufactured from high-quality E-glass fiberglass yarns and impregnated with PTFE dispersion and graphite-based lubricating additives. The product is designed to wipe excess molten zinc from the wire surface, helping improve coating consistency, line stability, and pad service life.
Compared with conventional glass-fiber wiping pads, this grade is engineered to provide improved lubricity, smoother wiping action, reduced frictional drag, and enhanced wear resistance during continuous operation.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Made from E-glass fiberglass yarns
Impregnated with PTFE
Enhanced with graphite impregnation / graphite lubrication
Good resistance to elevated operating temperature in hot-dip galvanizing service
Stable wiping performance for continuous production
Good dimensional stability and structural integrity
Lower friction against wire surface
Economical alternative for suitable galvanizing conditions
Available in standard and customized sizes
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
Hot-dip galvanized steel wire lines
Zinc wiping at the exit of zinc bath
Medium and large wire diameter production lines
Applications requiring cost-effective wiping media with stable performance
What is a Wire Wipe?
The wiping system is specifically engineered to provide a commercial grade wire coating by effectively eliminating excess zinc during the galvanization process. This system comprises a clamping mechanism that exerts pressure on two rectangular pads, through which the wire is threaded. The wire diameters typically range from 0.8mm to 8.0mm, encompassing both high and low carbon wires, with coating weights typically falling between 50g/m2 and 120g/m2.
